LYLE’S DELIGHTED WITH HIS MINI IMPLANTS!

Several months ago, I had a tooth break off a partial denture, while eating pizza at one of my favorite restaurants. Needless to say, it was an embarrassing situation and I had to wait a week to have the tooth replaced on my denture. Shortly afterwards, the same denture broke leaving me without my top partial again for another few days.  They were worn, 20 years old and eating was difficult. The straw that broke the camel’s back was about a month ago, when the main anchor tooth for my upper partial broke off at the gum line! Painful and very embarrassing. The pain passed and I was able to “get by” with the loose partial, but I couldn’t chew properly.
I was recommended to Dr. Pekar to explore the possibility of supporting teeth with implants. After a close examination of my remaining teeth, gums, partials,, digital photos and x-rays were taken and impressions of my teeth were made. Dr. Pekar gave me a detailed and very easy to understand explanation of my dental health with possible outcomes of different treatment options. Dr. Pekar showed me the MDI Implant System and explained the features, the benefits and costs. Imagine having a full set of dentures and able to eat and smile again without worry. He told me that he could extract my seven remaining teeth, insert the MINI IMPLANTS and give me new upper and lower dentures all in ONE visit! I couldn’t go without having my teeth – not even for a day! My work and social calendar wouldn’t allow that. So I agreed to have Dr. Pekar do the extractions and insert the MDI implants in one appointment. I arrived at Dr. Pekar’s office feeling apprehensive and very nervous about having seven extractions and mini implants all done at the same time. To my delight, aside for some minor discomfort, everything went just the way Dr. Pekar said it would! I walked out of Dr. Pekar’s office with a beautiful new smile and confident that I would soon be able to eat steak and pizza without fear of embarrassment ever again. Unbelievable? Well it was true!
