placebo study was completed at Loma Linda
University Dental School. Results of the study

The grape seed extract that we use is very
unique. It is distilled in a specific way so
only low molecular weight esters (the best
absorbed) are used. Grape seed extract is a very
powerful anti-inflammatory. It also has
antioxidant properties that are 20 times
stronger than Vitamin C and 50 times stronger
than Vitamin E. Research shows that most people
that have gum disease are very low in
antioxidants. Why not use quality antioxidants
and antiinflammatories? We use highly absorbing
calcium citrate and the proper ratio of calcium,
magnesium, and vitamin K for the most effective
calcium absorption. We use natural Co-Q10 (ubiquinone)-not
synthetic- for the best absorption. Co-Q10 is
also an anti-inflammatory. We use Pepper Nigrum
because it is a vasodilator and improves
absorption of Vitamin C and Co-Q10 by 37%

some stage of periodontal (gum)disease (chronic
inflammation). If your dentist diagnosed you
with having gum disease, take a high sensitivity
C-reactive protein blood test before starting
the dentist treatment so you may evaluate your
C-reactive protein level. There are at
least 200 million people that have chronic
bleeding gums/halitosis whom dentists can help.
Heart disease and stroke are the two biggest

A few features about
Pharmaden products:
1. Periotherapy has
100mcg of B12 for every 1000mcg of Folic Acid to
prevent the possibility of masking pernicious
anemia
2. Echinacea's potential to cause
autoimmunity is only anecdotal. It is prudent
for us to consider this possibility but by no
means exclusive. A search of Medlines 15 million
citations found only 3 articles and 2 patient
cases indicating any clinical association
between Echinacea and Autoimmune disease. Since
the articles point out that 50% of patients take
vitamins and herbs for most conditions,
including MS, Lupus, DM, etc, very few patients
actually experience adverse effects. However if
you have any disease or condition and are not
feeling well to stop the vitamins immediately
and check with your physician.
3. CoQ10
should be taken by patients taking any Statin
drugs because all Statins inhibit CoQ10, which
could lead to Congestive Heart Failure.
Additionally, CoQ10 has been hypothesized to
interact with coumadin, but in the one clinical
trial that has been performed, a negative effect
was not shown.
• Those who are allergic
to flowers of the daisy family should take
Echinacea with caution.
• There are no know
contra-indications to the use of Echinacea
during pregnancy or lactation, but caution
should be taken and the patient/physician should
approve.
